PRIVACY POLICY
CalcMyGrades

Effective Date: April 30, 2026
Last Updated: April 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CalcMyGrades ("CalcMyGrades," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes information when you visit or use our website, GPA calculator, content, advertising-supported pages, affiliate links, and related online services (collectively, the "Site").

CalcMyGrades is intended to be a simple utility website that lets users estimate or calculate GPA. You do not need to create an account or provide your name, email address, school, student ID, transcript, or other personal information to use the basic GPA calculator.

This Privacy Policy is written for a basic United States-oriented website that uses advertising, Google AdSense or similar ad networks, analytics, and affiliate links. It is not legal advice. You should have counsel review it before publishing, especially if CalcMyGrades adds accounts, contact forms, paid services, email collection, user-generated content, mobile apps, push notifications, or features directed to children.

1. INFORMATION YOU ENTER INTO THE CALCULATOR

The GPA calculator may ask you to enter course names, grades, credits, grading scale details, or similar academic inputs so that it can calculate a GPA.

Unless the Site clearly states otherwise:

- GPA calculations are performed in your browser.
- You do not need to enter personal information to use the basic calculator.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, school, student ID, transcript, account credentials, or official academic records.
- We do not intentionally collect, store, sell, or share the grades, credits, course names, or GPA inputs you type into the calculator.
- You should not enter personal, sensitive, confidential, or official academic records into the calculator.

If you voluntarily type personal information into a free-text field, course-name field, browser extension, feedback form, email, or other area not intended for personal information, that information may be processed depending on the feature used. Please do not submit personal information unless the Site specifically asks for it.

CalcMyGrades is not an educational institution, school official, registrar, academic advisor, or provider of official education records. We do not intend to collect education records protected by FERPA or similar laws.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect or process certain technical and usage information, including:

- IP address;
- browser type and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and features used;
- referring and exit pages;
- date and time of access;
- approximate location inferred from IP address;
- advertising identifiers, cookie identifiers, or similar online identifiers;
- interactions with ads, affiliate links, or sponsored links;
- diagnostic, performance, error, fraud-prevention, and security logs.

Depending on applicable law, some of this information may be considered personal information, personal data, or personally identifiable information.

3. COOKIES, ADVERTISING IDENTIFIERS, AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

CalcMyGrades and third parties may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, device identifiers, IP addresses, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, measure traffic, prevent fraud, serve ads, personalize ads where allowed, measure ad performance, and track affiliate referrals.

Cookies and similar technologies may be used for the following purposes:

- Strictly necessary functions, such as security, load balancing, fraud prevention, and basic website operation.
- Preferences, such as remembering display or calculator settings.
- Analytics, such as understanding Site traffic, page performance, and feature usage.
- Advertising, such as serving ads, limiting repeated ads, measuring ad performance, and showing ads that may be based on your visits to this Site or other websites.
- Affiliate tracking, such as determining whether a click from CalcMyGrades resulted in a visit, signup, purchase, or commissionable transaction on a third-party website.

Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies should not prevent the basic GPA calculator from working, although some Site features, advertising functions, analytics, or affiliate tracking may not function correctly.

At this time, the Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no consistent industry standard for how such signals should be interpreted. Where required by applicable law, we will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as described in Section 10 below.

4. GOOGLE ADSENSE AND THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISING

The Site may display ads served by Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager, or other third-party advertising networks, exchanges, demand partners, or ad technology providers.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and/or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to users based on visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Third parties may place or read cookies on your browser, use web beacons, or use IP addresses and other identifiers to collect information as a result of ad serving on the Site. This may include information about your browser, device, visits, pages viewed, ad impressions, ad clicks, and interactions with advertising.

Advertising may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your settings, location, consent choices, applicable law, and the configuration of the advertising services used. Personalized advertising may use previously collected or inferred information, such as interests, demographics, approximate location, previous searches, visits to websites or apps, or interactions with ads. Non-personalized advertising may still use contextual information, approximate location, device information, cookies, frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, fraud prevention, and security information.

You may be able to manage advertising preferences and opt out of certain personalized advertising through:

- Google Ads Settings: https://adssettings.google.com/
- Google's advertising technologies information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Network Advertising Initiative opt-out: https://optout.networkadvertising.org/
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out: https://optout.aboutads.info/
- Your browser or device settings.

These opt-out tools are provided by third parties. They may depend on cookies or device settings and may not stop all advertising. You may still see ads after opting out, but those ads may be less personalized.

5. AFFILIATE LINKS AND SPONSORED LINKS

CalcMyGrades may participate in affiliate advertising programs. Some links on the Site may be affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission, referral fee, bounty, or other compensation if you click a link and later sign up for, purchase, or interact with a third-party product or service.

Affiliate partners and networks may use cookies, click IDs, tracking pixels, referral URLs, device identifiers, IP addresses, transaction identifiers, or similar technologies to track referrals and attribute commissions. These third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies.

We aim to identify affiliate or sponsored relationships clearly where required. Our receipt of compensation may influence the placement, availability, or order of certain links, offers, or recommendations, but we do not provide academic, financial, legal, or admissions advice.

6. ANALYTICS AND SITE MEASUREMENT

The Site may use analytics and measurement tools to understand traffic, page usage, technical performance, referral sources, and user interactions with the Site. Analytics providers may collect information such as IP address, device information, browser information, pages visited, time spent, referring URLs, and event data.

We use analytics information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, maintain, improve, and monetize the Site.

7. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We may use information processed through the Site to:

- provide, operate, and display the GPA calculator and related website features;
- calculate GPA results based on the inputs you provide;
- maintain, debug, secure, and improve the Site;
- monitor website performance, availability, and traffic;
- personalize or improve content and advertising where permitted;
- serve, measure, and optimize advertisements;
- track and administer affiliate links, referrals, and commissions;
- detect, prevent, and investigate spam, abuse, fraud, attacks, unauthorized access, and other misuse;
- comply with legal obligations;
- respond to lawful requests from public authorities;
- enforce our Terms of Use;
- evaluate or complete a business transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets.

We do not use calculator inputs to make official academic, admissions, financial aid, employment, or legal decisions about you.

8. HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION

We do not sell your GPA inputs or calculator entries.

We may disclose automatically collected information, technical data, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage information, and similar information to the following categories of recipients:

- Hosting, infrastructure, security, content delivery, and technical service providers.
- Analytics and measurement providers.
- Advertising networks, ad exchanges, demand partners, ad technology providers, and advertising measurement providers.
- Affiliate networks, merchants, and referral partners.
- Professional advisors, such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors.
- Government authorities, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other parties when required or permitted by law.
- Successors or counterparties in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

Some U.S. state privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly. Our use of third-party advertising, analytics, and affiliate technologies may be considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some state privacy laws, even if we do not sell personal information for money.

9. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION PROCESSED

Depending on how you interact with the Site, we and our service providers or advertising partners may process the following categories of information:

- Identifiers, such as IP address, cookie ID, device ID, advertising ID, or similar online identifiers.
- Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as pages viewed, referring URLs, ad impressions, ad clicks, affiliate-link clicks, and interactions with the Site.
- Approximate geolocation information inferred from IP address.
- Commercial information, such as records that an affiliate referral, signup, purchase, or commissionable event occurred on a third-party site, if an affiliate partner provides or records that information.
- Inferences, such as advertising segments or interest categories created by advertising partners.
- Information you voluntarily provide, if you contact us or submit information through a feature that asks for it.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the basic GPA calculator. Do not enter Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account information, precise location, health information, school login credentials, official transcripts, or other sensitive information into the calculator.

10. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws to:

- request access to personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- request a copy or portability of personal information;
- opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;
- appeal a privacy-rights decision where required by law;
- not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Because CalcMyGrades does not require accounts and does not intentionally store GPA calculator inputs, we may not be able to identify information associated with a particular visitor unless you provide enough information for us to verify and locate it.

When CalcMyGrades publishes a privacy request method, eligible users may use that method to exercise applicable privacy rights.

If the Site uses third-party advertising, analytics, or affiliate technologies that may constitute sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, CalcMyGrades should provide a clear "Your Privacy Choices" or "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on the Site before publishing this policy. That link should allow eligible users to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising where required.

If CalcMyGrades is legally required to honor opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, it should configure the Site and relevant advertising/analytics tools to recognize and honor those signals before publishing this policy.

11. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY NOTICE

This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy for California residents.

Depending on whether CalcMyGrades is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, California residents may have the rights listed in Section 10, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

In the preceding 12 months, the Site may have collected or processed the categories listed in Section 9 and disclosed those categories to the recipient categories listed in Section 8 for the business and commercial purposes listed in Section 7.

We do not sell your GPA calculator inputs. However, our use of advertising, analytics, and affiliate technologies may involve disclosing identifiers, internet activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences to advertising and analytics partners in a way that may be considered "sharing" or "sale" under California law.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16 years old.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under California law unless we provide the required notice and choice.

California residents may use any published privacy request method to exercise applicable rights. If required by law, the Site should also provide a visible "Your Privacy Choices" or "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.

12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

CalcMyGrades is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Children under 13 should not use the Site or submit personal information through the Site. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally required parental consent, we will delete it or take other appropriate action.

Users under 18 should use the Site only with involvement of a parent or guardian where required by applicable law.

Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information to CalcMyGrades may use any published privacy request method.

13. DATA RETENTION

Calculator inputs are not intentionally stored by CalcMyGrades unless the Site clearly states otherwise.

Technical logs, advertising records, analytics records, affiliate referral records, fraud-prevention records, and similar operational records may be retained by us or our service providers for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including security, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, ad measurement, affiliate attribution, legal compliance, and business administration.

Third-party advertising, analytics, and affiliate partners may retain information according to their own privacy policies and retention practices.

14. SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the Site and information processed through it. However, no website, network, advertising technology, analytics system, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Do not enter sensitive personal information, official academic records, passwords, financial information, government identification numbers, or confidential information into the GPA calculator.

15. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, advertisers, merchants, affiliate partners, educational resources, tools, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, accuracy, security, or availability of third-party websites or services.

Your use of third-party websites and services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

16. INTERNATIONAL USERS

CalcMyGrades is operated primarily for users in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers, advertising partners, analytics providers, or affiliate partners operate.

If CalcMyGrades serves users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions requiring consent for advertising cookies or personalized ads, CalcMyGrades should implement an appropriate consent-management mechanism and update this Privacy Policy before relying on those technologies for those users.

17. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Site with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after an updated Privacy Policy is posted means you acknowledge the updated policy.
